The topic of 9th edition of Przetwory design festival - a table - became for us a starting point in thinking about food, as something that appears on a table most often. We tend to fetshize visual aspect of food, while depretiating its actual nutrition value. On one hand we admire beautiful food photographs shared on Facebook and Instagram, while on the other throwing away surplus of food bought under impulse, not actual need. Leftovers can become not only a waste but also a painting theme. Relating to esthetics of Flemish vanitative painting we created a composition with rotting food found in our friends' refrigerators.
