PORTFOLIO construction beehive beehive dog shed facades floating house garbage storage interiors one caucasus 2015 one caucasus 2016 porch roofs sandbox sauna sculptors pavilion strawbale the wall water shed workshop In the summer of 2014 while staying on a farm in Norway I have built a beehive together with Ma³gorzata Czekaj³o who designed it as a development of her beginner beekeper's beihve. It's a combination of a top-bar hive bottom with a frame hive above. It's double walls are built with wooden tongue and groove planks and filled with hay braids for better thermanl insulation. Legs are standing on adjustable steel feet. Roof covered with tar paper is designed to grow moss and store rainwater as a drinking bowl for bees.
